Would you stay with your family in the city with thousands of bombs falling every night, or be separated from them and evacuated to somewhere safer in the country?

Discover how to keep alive and well as a child in this dangerous time! As thousands of soldiers prepare to invade Europe for D-Day, will the war ever be over?

Shows: 11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm. Running time: 1 hr

The D-Day Story

This museum has as its centrepiece the magnificent Overlord Embroidery commissioned by Lord Dulverton of Batsford (1915-92) as a tribute to the sacrifice and heroism of those men and women who took part in Operation Overlord.
